Tropical Hard Wood |

This web site is intended to provide a clearinghouse for available down and dead tropical hard wood available for purchase. The down and dead wood permitting program that is authorized under Costa Rica environmental law is means of capitalizing upon fallen wood that wood otherwise decay in the forest. The down and dead program is an effort to stanch illegal deforestation by providing builders and woodworkers with a source of legal high quality tropical hard and semi-hard wood species that is environmentally sustainable.
Silvicultural products that are not regulated as the species are farmed and not native species are also milled and sold to meet customers' demands and include such common silvicultural products as teak, amarillon, eucalyptus, and melina, among others.
All wood is permitted in strict accordance with Costa Rican environmental forestry regulations and each delivery is accompanied by a bill of sale and a guia that comprises a chain of custody to demonstrate that the wood complies with the strictures of the domestic wood laws.
Our effort is to provide our customers with high quality wood products that are fully legal and documented for use in construction and building.
